This is the first image that I took with a camera (that's not a phone) in years. The one that starts it all over again.

I love to take photographs, and it probably all started circa 2007-2008. I totally forgot the reason, but one thing that I remember is that I am fascinated by how a camera works. We took a picture and froze a moment in eternity that we can repeatedly see over and over again. 

And then the rabbit hole started. I read a lot of things on how to take a picture, exposure triangle, what is shutter speed-aperture-iso, composition, camera gear, camera specs, etc. I read and read for hours, days, weeks.

At that time, I was in no condition of being able to purchase even the cheapest camera, so reading is the next best thing. YouTube is barely a thing at that time. The price of internet data plan is still pretty darn expensive Rp. 1 / kB.

I was finally able to purchase a digital camera in 2010, when I graduated and started my first-ever job (that only lasted a couple months). The camera was an old bridge digital camera by Fujifilm (I totally forgot the model number).

I took the camera everywhere I went, and I loved it so much. Took a lot of pictures with that Fujifilm camera. Unfortunately due to some reason, I had to sell it in 2012 but the great memories stay.

Fast forward to June 2023 my family had a plan to visit our home town. It suddenly cross my mind, to bring a camera. A cheap one, that I don't have to think twice about the purchase and if the result turns to be bad it won't be a disappointment. Just take pictures and have fun. I decided to buy Kodak i-60 film camera and a roll of Kodak ColorPlus 200. The picture above is the first ever picture that I shot with that camera, the one that started it all over again. My love and passion for photography.

Anyway, I created this site cause I genuinely hated the way Instagram treats the images that we post via their platform. Insta is a photo (and video) sharing platform. But the way they compress, the way they show the content is quite the opposite of how the images are being taken. But Insta already doing it for so long, that people just accept it as it is now. Probably because there's no other platform that's as massive as Insta. Well, there's Facebook, but it's ancient and most people still keep their account for archival purposes. 

My goal is to publish the images that I took, the way I wanted. Also, I want to use it as a log and reminder for me to keep in track with my weekly assignments on 52frames.com

It has been a year since I created my account and I only complete 2 weekly assignments 😟

This time, hopefully, it'll be better 🔥🔥🔥
